Navigating the special education and anti-discrimination processes in state and federal disability laws can be challenging for families. MMLA’s Pro Bono Program developed the Special Education Project to provide families with legal advice and representation in Special Education matters. This training provides an overview of the ethical considerations and obligations outlined in the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct pertinent to Special Education cases. The topics covered include: who is the client; representing individuals who lack capacity; client engagement; conflicts; contacting districts; and withdrawal.

Approved for 1.00 hours of Ethics MN CLE credit.
