Anne Quincy: The Long View on Government Benefits

December’s Attorney at Law Magazine includes a Q & A feature with Legal Aid’s Anne Quincy, supervising attorney of the government benefits unit and a seasoned practitioner of benefits law. In it, Quincy talks about her 25-year career with Legal Aid and how federal statues governing welfare have changed.

“I’ve seen so many changes over the trajectory of my career, and I remind our partners and other community advocates that we’ll get through it. We weathered PRWORA, and we fought back. We have laws, we have courts, and we have the Constitution. When a law is unjust, we challenge it, and eventually we win.
